the winter season is definitely over
Reluctantly, I will admit that the scottish winter season is no longer. Funny, you would think that most people will be grateful not to have to carry a heavy rucksack for a while.....
We did make one last attempt to climb over in Creagan a' Choire Etchachan but the barmy tropical conditions soon stopped that. The climbing trip turned into a bothy trip instead :)
However, the good news is that its rock climbing time. Although the mountain crags will be out of action for a while until the spring snow decides to disappear, the low lying crags which do not have big drainage lines are most definately climbable.
I'm heading out to the Alps now for some 'steep and deep' action and to gaze at scarey north faces and wait for them to come into condtion.
