it's official, winter is here

As I made the journey down to Aberfeldy today through the snow showers for the annual get together of the climbmts staff, I chuckled knowing that the Scottish Avalanche Information Service had been activated for this winter season.

Gone are the black and white boring text pages that would be flapping in the wind and say hello to an infusion of bright colours and sexy diagrams.  For a taster, the Northern Cairngorms Forecast can be seen here.
